The feedback received from Easykit practitioners is extensive and confirms to us the value of the toolkits and the difference they make to practitioners and to the young people they work with.
Please can other PAs have it too? I feel guilty that I have it and I know some others who would love to have it as they can see how much I am benefiting from it
Helps me to support young people's reviews e.g.. SEN/Statement reviews and helps me demonstrate the distance that the young person has travelled to other practitioners (EWOs, Learning Mentors and tutors). It also helps me provide a smoother transition back into mainstream lessons from unit lesson teaching (Learning Mentor comment)
I like how it empowers the young person and allows self-awareness and reflection. It also empowers me as a PA to be more creative, organised and effective
It is inclusive of young people's voice and opinion
It is interactive, hands on, engaging and empowering and helps as a discussion tool, assessment tool and framework for working with young people
My caseload management is organised -gives my workload more of a structure
Very positive – I think the YP valued being listened to and could see how the work they were doing fitted in with their goals and aspirations
Easykit has helped to open channels for discussion which have been used to formulate an Action Plan. I feel it assists in focussing on the young person’s needs
The young people I have used it with have enjoyed using the cards and can understand the distance travelled as I can make it visual and easy to understand
Helps me to do my job properly
Helps to overcome the difficulty of addressing difficult questions
Easykit is very useful as a ‘getting to know you’ exercise with new clients. It helps to open channels of communication and makes the young person aware that you are interested in ‘them’.
Just thanks! It’s been a great help with some young people who normally find APIR difficult
