Becoming a Practitioner TitleTo become an Easykit Practitioner you need to undertake a 1 day training course delivered by our experienced Easykit Practitioner Trainers.

Our training days are participative and give you the opportunity to practice using Easykit in a safe and supportive environment.

During the training day, we try to accommodate all learning styles in our delivery methods. By the end of the day you will understand how and why Easykit works and have had the opportunity to consider how you will use it in your day to day work.

At the end of the training you will take away your new Easykit pack with the skills to use it (and other Easykit products) effectively. Ongoing support will be available to practitioners from the training team via telephone, email or web based support (coming soon).

It is important to note that Easykit 4CAF is not a replacement for your local CAF Practitioner Training. Easykit 4CAF will assist your work with young people within the Common Assessment process, however, practitioners should have completed their local CAF training first to get the maximum benefit from the training.

The training provides you with the skills to use the toolkit effectively and

  • Engage young people in the process
  • Identify a young person’s needs and strengths
  • Complete a comprehensive assessment / CAF
  • Prioritise support needs
  • Produce young person centred action plans
  • Conduct meaningful reviews
  • Measure the impact of work undertaken

The trainers were very good and clear in their presentation

Informal, comfortable environment, the opportunity to ask questions

Discussions flagged up issues and ways forward were debated

The role play enabled us to apply the toolkit in a real situation

Clear and straight forward way of engaging young people in their assessment

The discussions and debate were useful and interesting

Really enjoyed the session and found the tool very useful

..the whole process gives the young person and practitioner freedom to explore issues whilst retaining structure. Most importantly it will enable me to show distance travelled when our funders are assessing our support.

Although the whole course was helpful, the section on obtaining scores was helpful – specific, concrete and clear

This programme enables you to easily measure and share distance travelled

I feel these cards and the way they are used will allow Young People to highlight issues/worries in a non-threatening way. They will also have control of the areas they wish to explore.
